Events in Glasgow 2026
Glasgow is home to an exciting array of events in 2026. From the Commonwealth Games, to World Pipe Band Championships, to the annual TRNSMT Festival, this summer in Scotland is set to be like no other. Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games
The Commonwealth Games 2026 is one of the largest events visiting Glasgow this year. Taking place from 23 July – 2 August, this is a sporting event you don’t want to miss. Sports include basketball, gymnastics, athletics, bowls, boxing, judo, netball, swimming, cycling and weightlifting. We are nearly fully booked for tents, motorhomes and touring caravans. World Pipe Band Championships
The World Pipe Band Championships 2026 event is tentatively scheduled for 14 & 15 August at Glasgow Green. Piping Live!, the world’s largest bagpipe festival, takes place leading up to the Championships, from Sunday 9th – Friday 14th August. Enjoy a week of true Scottish culture in our fabulous city, only a 35 minute journey from Red Deer Village Holiday Park via public transport.

TRNSMT Festival 2026
TRNSMT Festival returns for another year at Glasgow Green. For 2026, the Scottish festival takes place the weekend of 19-21 June. Lineup includes big names such as Lewis Capaldi, Amy Macdonald, Richard Ashcroft, Kasabian and Sonny Fodera. Be sure to book your tickets and accommodation early, as this is usually a sell out event!
Bellahouston Park Concerts
Bellahouston Park is back this year with its Glasgow Summer Sessions. This year, the open-air music venue welcomes The Lumineers and The Proclaimers, Teddy Swims, Alanis Morissette, Pitbull, Kings of Leon and My Chemical Romance. The Summer Sessions take place from Saturday 27 June to Saturday 4 July. Bellahouston Park is only a 20 minute drive from Red Deer Village’s Glasgow campsite, making our holiday park an ideal place to stay while you enjoy the musical festivities the Summer Sessions have to offer.
Merchant City Festival
The Glasgow Merchant City Festival celebrates the arts with street theatre, live music, dancing, markets and local food vendors. Glasgow Life, the hosts of the event, focus on promoting the culture of Glasgow. Previous events have included acrobatics, puppetry, ceilidhs and performances from both local and international artists. Although the dates for 2026 are not yet confirmed, the Festival takes place every July, so add to an already busy Glasgow summer calendar. More Events in Glasgow 2026
Country to Country is an annual country festival taking place the weekend of 13-15 March. The biggest names in country perform, including this year’s line up of Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Drake Milligan, Zach Top and Scott McCreery. Enjoy a day or weekend ticket at the Ovo Hydro, and make Red Deer Village Holiday Park your chosen place to stay, less than 10 miles from the venue.
Disney on Ice is the perfect outing for the whole family to enjoy. Visiting Glasgow 19 – 22 March, see your favourite Disney characters perform on the ice. Join Elsa, Anna, Rapunzel, Moana and friends and watch the stories you love come to life.

Take That takes to the stage with their Circus Live tour at Hampden Stadium on Friday 12 June. Supporting acts include The Script and Belinda Carlisle.
Scottish stand up comedian, Kevin Bridges, will be performing at the Ovo Hydro on various dates between 11 September and 26 November. Enjoy a night of laughter before returning to Red Deer Village Holiday Park, only 25 minutes to drive and an ideal time to stay and make the most of our low season prices.
Artists performing this year at the Ovo Hydro include Raye on 20 & 21 February, Kesha on 11 March, Yungblud on 20 April, Olivia Dean on 22 & 23 April, NE-YO & Akon on 28 April, Zayn on 16 May, Westlife on 30 September and Cody Johnson on 2 November, as well as many other huge names in music and comedy.
