Red Deer Village Holiday Park have been very busy this summer season, with many local events taking place. Situated only 5 miles from Glasgow city centre, we’re ideally located for accessing the city for anything you may be attending! Recent touring caravans and motorhomes have stayed with us for several concerts. These include Pink, Take That, Green Day and The Killers. So what else is happening in Glasgow coming up? TRNSMT Festival

The annual TRNSMT Festival is sure to be a huge success this year, with headliners Liam Gallagher, Gerry Cinnamon and Calvin Harris. It will be taking place in Glasgow Green from 12-14 July. Many of our guests staying for this weekend will be attending the festival, using the local train station for easy access. Our chalets, holiday homes and static caravans to rent, make an ideal base for enjoying a comfortable stay away from home. 152nd Open at Royal Troon

The 152nd Open will be played at Royal Troon from 14-21 July. The 2024 Open Championship will be taking place at Royal Troon’s Old Course for the 10th time. Around an hour drive to Red Deer Village Holiday Park, many guests have chosen to stay with us as an easy access option to attend the iconic day.

Concerts

Glasgow has a thriving music scene, with some huge names still to come this summer. Stevie Nicks will be at the OVO Hydro on 6 July, whilst blink-182 will be playing 2 shows on 29 & 30 August. Hozier will be at Glasgow Green on 10 July, at Fatboy Slim will be returning to Glasgow on 19 & 20 July at Galvanizers Yard. It’s very easy to get an Uber or taxi from our campsite to concert venues in Glasgow. You can avoid the high prices of the city centre without facing the inconvenience of being too far away.

Red Deer Village Holiday Park’s latest donation of bed linens is to an amazing charity, Glasgow’s No 1 Baby & Family Support Service. Our Office Manager, Veronica, took time out to go and meet with Rhona. You can check out their amazing work and donate via their Facebook page. Keep up the great work!
