Scottish Tourism Week

Scottish Tourism Week

Scottish Tourism Week aims to engage, connect and inspire Scotland’s tourism industry. It also aims to recognise the industry’s fantastic contribution to Scotland’s economy. This year, Scottish Tourism Week took place from 11 – 18 March.

MSP Visit

As part of Scottish Tourism Week, Elaine Smith came out to Red Deer Village Holiday Park. Elaine is our local MSP and Deputy Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, and we had the privilege of hosting her on Friday 18 March 2016.

Elaine came out to tour our Holiday Park. She also discussed with the directors how the park has contributed to the local area of Stepps. She was delighted at the park’s appearance and claimed that she could see why we had been awarded 5 star status by Visit Scotland. Elaine also commented on the park’s cleanliness, the new shower facilities’ accessibility and one of the disabled access chalet refurbishments.

Holiday Park Accommodation

Red Deer Village Holiday Park has a range of accommodation available for any tourist visiting Glasgow. For guests with their own accommodation, we have a range of hardstanding touring and motorhome pitches with electric hookup and grass tent pitches. Alternatively, if you’d prefer a home away from home, we have a variety of chalets, static caravans and holiday homes available for rent. And, these come fully equipped with everything that you need except towels. Furthermore, they can sleep from 1-8 people.

Tourist Attractions

There are many things for tourists to see and do when staying at Red Deer village Holiday Park. With Glasgow only 5 miles away, there are a host of music, food and cultural activities to attend. Plus, local transport links such as bus and train are only a 10-minute walk away. Alternatively, if you’re looking further afield, both Edinburgh and Stirling are within an hour’s drive, offering the opportunity to see many historical sites, including the Wallace Monument and Edinburgh Castle.
