NIGHTSHIFT

WEDNESDAY 23RD AUGUST 2017 AT DRUMPELLIER COUNTRY PARK

Drumpellier is home to many night-time creatures such as bats and owls. Why not join us on our popular night walk, as we go in search of our shy, nocturnal wildlife. Booking is essential – call 01236 422257. Please bring a torch.

8:30 pm to 10 pm. Meet outside the Visitor Centre.

EVENING BAT WALK

FRIDAY 25TH AUGUST 2017 AT GARTCOSH LOCAL NATURE RESERVE

Join us at Gartcosh Local Nature Reserve as we aim to uncover the nocturnal wildlife of this urban site. several species of bats live in and around the reserve and if you are patient we should catch sight of these amazing flying acrobats. Booking is essential – 01236 780636. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear, and please bring a torch.

8:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Meet at the Auldyards Rd entrance just off M73 junction 2a.

WOMEN’S RUNNING RACE SERIES

SUNDAY 27TH AUGUST 2017 AT STRATHCLYDE COUNTRY PARK

Join thousands of women across the country today as the Women’s Running Race Series returns to Strathclyde Country Park for its fourth consecutive year. This year there are three race distances on offer: 10k, 5k and one mile.  The events cater to all, be it seasoned runners looking to earn a PB or those looking to push themselves to a new distance. We have also added a new mile fun run for 2017, that is perfect for the entire family – including Dad!
