Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show
The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show at the SEC Glasgow is on from the 1st until the 4th of February 2024. The Glasgow show hosts over 170 exhibitors. They showcase many different static caravans, touring caravans, motorhomes and much more. So, if you are on the lookout for your first purchase or an upgrade to your existing one, you’ll want to visit for all the latest news and models.
World Athletics Indoor Championships
Glasgow will once again host a major sporting event in 2024, after it’s many previous successes. 2024 however, is the first time hosting The World Athletics Indoor Championships in our city. From 1-3 March at the Emirates Arena, there will be 26 events, 13 for men and 13 for women. With around 650 competitors from more than 130 countries, it’s sure to be an action packed few days. Events include long jump, high jump, shot put, hurdles and multiple races. Attending this event great opportunity to witness world-class athletes competing against each other and experience the electrifying atmosphere of a major sporting event.
World Irish Dancing Championships
The SEC Glasgow will host the World Irish Dancing Championships, beginning 21st March and finishing on 2nd April. With this being the 6th time Glasgow has hosted this event, we are sure it will be just as incredible as past experiences. This is a spectacular event that brings together dancers from all over the world to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level. If you are a fan of Irish dancing or just looking for a fun and exciting event to attend, then don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to witness some of the best dancers in the world right here in Glasgow.
World Science Fiction Convention
The 82nd World Science Fiction Convention will be bringing their event to the SEC Glasgow this year. From 8-12 August, around 5000 science fiction fans are expected to attend. Hosting a variety of different events across the 5 days, this is sure to be a popular and interesting few days. The convention is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in a world of science fiction, meet like-minded individuals, and attend talks and panels on a range of topics.
World Pipe Band Championships
Attracting thousands of visitors and competitors, it is expected Glasgow will once again welcome 200 bands from across the globe. They will be competing at Glasgow Green on the 16th and 17th August this year. The pipers and drummers will be showcasing their best performances to win the coveted title, making it an awe-inspiring sight to behold. It’s not just a competition, but a celebration of the rich Scottish culture and heritage, making it an excellent day out for the entire family.
